Stability

With four wheels and a central point of gravity that is balanced by the weight of your child's seat, 4-wheel buggies are generally thought to be more stable than 3-wheelers. Three-wheel buggies are worthwhile to consider as they are able to handle anything from rough terrain to busy streets.

If you're planning to take your three-wheeled vehicle off of tracks that are paved, it's worth selecting a model equipped with tyres filled with air (also called pneumatic tyres) that can withstand the toughest terrain. These tyres will need regular pumping but will be far more durable than solid tyres and are more likely to be puncture-proof. It is recommended to choose models with an swiveling front wheel that is locked to assist you in navigating tricky surfaces.

When folded, three-wheelers may be more bulky than four-wheeled buggies due to the single wheel on the front.
