The Xplore also comes with two canopies that rotate from front to back, ensuring ample sun protection for all family members. It also has a footwell that's not as deep or wide as some wagons, so it may not be ideal for long excursions or for napping.

The frame of the Xplore wagon feels solid and sturdy but it doesn't bend as much as other wagons that we tried. It is also more difficult to fold than some of the competition and it doesn't secure when folded. It is easy to maneuver however, and can fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great choice for parents seeking a second stroller that's priced reasonably. It was awarded an impressive score in our Strollers & Multiples test for weight and fold size that means it's lightweight, small when collapsed and easy to lift into a trunk of a car or closet. It also has a reclined seat that can be reclined in several positions as well as cup holders for the parent. Other key features include 360-degree shock absorbing front wheels, as well as two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling.

The front wheels can to be locked in a forward direction or pivot. This is helpful when navigating rough terrain. We allowed the front wheels to swivel during our walk on an uneven path. It handled this reasonably well, even though it felt a little more bumpy.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is famous for their 3-wheeler, all-terrain pushchairs for jogging, but they also offer a great range of 4-wheeler strollers. City Tour 2 is their most popular model. It is easy to fold and fits into the trunk of a car even with the carrycot attached.

It's a bit heavier than other strollers we tried, however the wheels are made of rubber composite, which makes it feel well-built and durable. It is easy to maneuver on various terrains and even with two children as well as a shopping bag and other items.

Both the seat and the carrycot come with hoods that can be removed to reveal the UV50and sun canopy extension. They are showerproof and sturdy unlike other prams' hoods which get bounced back into toddlers' faces.
